Summer Reading: A Universe of Stories
Our 2019 Summer Reading Program, A Universe of Stories, continues this month:
 
Adult Summer Reading Special Event:
Galaxy Swirl Ink Prints
July 30 @ 6:00pm
 
Members of the Phillipsburg Area Arts Community will lead a special space-themed craft. Registration is required for this program.

Teen Summer Reading Events:
 
July 11 @ 6pm: Galaxy Snow Globes – Create a craft with someone from our local Arts Community.
 
July 18 @ 6pm: Outdoor Field Day – Join us for sports, games, relay races, & more. Remember to wear sneakers!
 
July 25 @ 6pm: Design Your Own Rocket or Alien – Build a creation with another teen to be put on display in the library & compete for a prize.
 
 
Children's Summer Reading Events:
 
Join us on July 3, 17, and 31 at 10:00am for Story Time (PreK - K) and STEAM programs (grades 1-5), and participants of all ages are invited to join us for these special events:

Behind the Lens:
The Central Park 5 Interrogation Videos
July 10 at 6:00pm
 
Join Andy Novick for a discussion of his role as the cameraman for the Central Park Five interrogation videos, and how the recording conditions influenced the footage, followed by a Q&A. Refreshments will be served.

Arts Experience: More Printmaking

Laughter Yoga
Monday, July 8, 12:00pm & 7:00pm

Laughing is a vocalization that anyone can do. It relieves stress, which helps keep disease away. Laughter has both psychological and physiological health benefits. Increased oxygen intake clears the lungs and the mind. Laughter is a cardiovascular exercise, ‘internal jogging,’ that burns calories. Here is your chance to try it for yourself! Cynthia Curtis from Funny Farm Laughter Club will lead an hour-long laughter yoga session.
