Summer Reading Program Updates
|
|
Our 2020 Summer Reading Program continues with new activities and weekly challenges! Here are the week 3 challenges for each age group: Children: Share a picture of your pet with us this week to celebrate animal week! Don't have a pet? That's ok! Share a picture of your favorite stuffed animal, a picture of a squirrel or bird you see outside, or even draw us a picture of your dream pet, then upload your picture in READsquared. Plus, don't forget to visit Walter's Park for our new StoryWalk to earn even more points! Teens: Choose your favorite fairytale or folktale that you know. Now rewrite it as if you were the main character. Would you make the same choices as the original character? How would the story change? Now rewrite it as if you were the villain. Would you be as vile as the original? How would your terrible actions change? Would you be redeemed at the end? L og in to READsquared, find the week 3 mission, and tell us your answers! Adults: Take a snapshot of what life looks like now and preserve it for the future. In this activity, you can capture and preserve your life for the future. To complete this mission, upload a picture of your time capsule in READsquared.
