What's Happening at the Library |

Message from our Children’s Librarian:
I was so happy to celebrate Read Across America Week with all the great readers at Bedminster School and The Primrose School, in Bedminster. A special “hello” to my friends at Mrs. Isello’s Kindergarten class, plus all my new friends at The Primrose School - what a treat for me to share some of my favorite stories with you all! One of my FAVORITE books (since 1st grade) is “In a People House” by Dr. Seuss. I was in the 1st grade and could not read but I loved looking at all the colorful illustrations and following along in the story. Why don’t you introduce your child to one of your favorite Dr. Seuss books? I bet you both will enjoy it! Our own Miss Caroline celebrated 1 year of her fabulous Rhythm, Rhyme, and Story Time with us last month. Her weekly children’s story time program (Thursdays @ 10:30 am) are really a lot of fun! Each session is filled with stories, music, parachute play, and fun for everyone! Thank you Miss Caroline for making our Storytime so much fun!! Join us every Thursday at 10:30 am. Stop by Adult Circulation upstairs to pick up your free Solar Eclipse viewing glasses. Our next Solar Eclipse will be visible in NJ on Monday April 8 at 3:08 pm (mark your calendars!) April is also “Love Your LIBRARY” Month! Tell me why you love CDPL and enter our drawing for tickets to see “Elephant & Piggie’s” play at The Growing Stage Children’s Theatre. New friends: Buddy & Dana from Creature Comfort — register for your Read to a Dog time slot for this month. ________ New: our Instagram page (@CDPLkids) is up and running! Visit and follow us! Teen Community Service Opportunities are available at our library. Our Display Case looks empty - why not display your collection with us? Get a Community Service Hour! Reach out to the Children's Librarian at mprovini@dillonlibrary.org for more details about our Teen Community Service Opportunities. They drive to the perfect campsite, not wanting to miss the couple of minutes when the sun will be completely hidden by the moon. When the moment happens, being together makes it even more special.
