Judy Lewis is stepping away from the helm of the book sale after this year’s successful sale for a much deserved rest although she will remain in a supportive role. The annual book sale of the Friends of RML is the Friends’ single largest fundraiser and an eagerly anticipated community event. I don’t think that most people are aware of the daunting logistics that must be run every year to pull it off. The library is too small to serve in any capacity for the sale except as a depository for books that are donated to the sale and to store the collapsible shelving. Two other properties are enlisted, the LeStage house, as a storage and sorting site and the meeting room of the Water Department for the actual sale. Everything must be moved from LeStage to the Water building in a day. And it is. Thanks to many volunteers spearheaded by Judy. Thanks to her this event has unfolded seamlessly for many years. Before becoming active in the Friends Judy was a trustee of this library for years. The Richards Memorial would be a different and diminished place if it had not been for Judy and people like her. Thank you, Judy.

As a mother of twelve-year-old twin boys, Meredith is excited to make changes to the young adult area and incorporate more youth programs. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from Framingham State University. Her interests include movies, reading, puzzles, and spending time with her family and two cats. Teens especially are invited to stop by and talk to her about suggestions and ideas they may have
