Starting October 16, each third grade class in the North Attleborough school system is scheduled to visit the Library. To borrow a book on the day of the class visit, the child must have his or her OWN library card (not a parent's). To get a library card, parents/guardians need to come to the library with a current ID and a current proof of address to get the card. If the child already has a card, please make sure the account is up-to-date and clear of fines.

Library Card Apps for Smartphones
We have upgraded our scanners to work with smartphones running the apps Key Ring or CardStar. Time Magazine reported, "With Key Ring, you no longer need to burden your actual keychain with stacks of loyalty cards. Instead, you can scan them into the app, which stores barcodes and account numbers in digital form." CardStar works pretty much the same way.

Understanding Notices from SAILS
- Hold Notices are generated 3 times a day so you might get an email at 11 am, 2 pm or 9 pm. Your voice notice might come at 8:30 am or 2 pm, and Text messages are sent out at 9 am and 2 pm. Holds can become available throughout the day so you might get notices multiple times.
- You will get an email or text message 2 days before your hold expires if you haven't picked it up. (Voice recipents can get this email if they also put an email in their records.)
- When an item is coming due, you will get an email or text message 3 days before the due date.
- Overdue Notices are sent out when items are 7 days, 28 days and 56 days overdue.
