The library is gearing up to write a new five-year plan that will be submitted to the Library Commissioners in Boston later in the year. Having this plan will allow the library to apply for grants for new services and/or programming. To help us determine the best course to follow we need your help. Included in this newsletter and also on the library’s website, www.rmlonline.org, is a link to an online survey of just ten questions. I am asking everyone to please take a few minutes and fill this survey out. It will be great help in telling us what we need to do to serve you better. Thank you.

This month we are collecting 125 items for Lenore's Pantry. In particular, Anne Marie Fleming says they can use Healthy Food items -- canned no-or-low salt Items, no sugar canned fruits and whole grain cereals, crackers and snacks. Items that are packaged individually are useful for giving to homeless adults. We will still be taking pajamas until March 15. On Saturday, March 9, from 11 am until noon, stop by the library to enjoy a hot cup of tea while reading the latest news, flipping though a magazine, or beginning a new book. "Elevenses" is a wonderful break in the day, come by and enjoy! On Saturday, March 16, from 2 to 4 pm, we invite people to showcase one of their collections around the library. This was a popular activity at the library in the 1930s and later when we had the space for glass cabinets. Back then it was stamps and figurines. Nowadays it might be Pokemon cards, canes, beer steins and more. Give us a call before then so we can assign tables. The snow date is Saturday, March 23.

The library has added the Biblioboard service to the library. Eventually we will set up workshops on how to do the self-publishing part of the service (the staff needs training first.) The access to the ebooks, music and images is now available at library.biblioboard.com, through the Biblioboard app or in the SAILS catalog by choosing Digital Catalog instead of Everything in the first pull-down choice. I found that the best way to get new material is to limit the publication date to 2000-2019 and also choose ebooks or whatever you're looking for. There are quite a few self-published romances as well as oral history projects and more. Musicians in Massachusetts have posted some of their songs, too. There is also a collection of Indie Award-winning books
