Message from the Director

|
With the increased funding available for Fiscal Year 2019 the library will remain certified and meet all of the unfunded state mandates without a waiver for the first time in nearly a decade. The additional money will be used to hire a new Junior Children’s Librarian. That position has been vacant since Katherine Cullinan retired and Eunice Franklin became the Senior Children’s Librarian. The library will return to a full schedule of fifty-nine hours per week and will return to closing at five o’clock PM on Fridays and Saturdays. And reciprocal borrowing across the Commonwealth is guaranteed. Thank you to everyone who supported the library.
