You will first notice the plexiglass partitions covering the Circulation Desk, the Reference Desk and the Librarian's Desk in the Children's room and everyone wearing masks! Then you will see that the public computers (for internet and catalog searching) are gone. Once we get the partitions for these areas we will again be able to let people use the computers.
Delivery service from other libraries has not been scheduled yet. You may place holds, but we don't know when they will arrive. Comcat is not available. Books that were supposed to be published during March through June will not come in until at least July so be patient for those new books. We can look up books in our catalog for you and place holds. We will be continuing to do the Front Porch Pick-up for those people who are not yet ready to come into the library in person.
We will not be taking cash or food for fines; lost items can be paid for online at home or on your phone with the mobile app.
We are not accepting donations at this time.
There will be no tutoring or group meetings until further notice.
The Romance paperbacks are now downstairs.
Guidelines To Follow
Wear a mask while in the building.
Fill in the Contact Log to facilitate contact tracing (as per State and Town rules.)
Stay 6 feet away as much as possible.
Use the sanitizer when you come in and when you leave.
No food or drink in the library.
Returning Your Books
Please return your books by placing them on the white cart where the catalog computers used to be. These will be taken down to the Program Room and kept there for 3 days. They will still appear on your account for those days. We will be waiving fines for everything.
What's New in the Children's Room
The children's computers, puzzles, toys and puppets have been removed. There is limited, spaced seating. Children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Masks are required for patrons ages 3+. No tutoring will be allowed. No food or drinks allowed.
Printing, Copying, and Faxing Services
The copier is still working. Please bring change (the price remains 10 cents a page.) We cannot break large bills.
We will still do faxing. You will put your fax pages in a folder along with the fax number. We will supply cover sheets if you need them. We will go to the back room alone and fax the items. Then we'll give you back your papers and the fax receipt. We will not be charging at this time for faxing.
Since the public computers are out of service, we will be printing things out for you. You can either email what you want printed to illna@sailsinc.org or use the mobile print option on our website (rmlonline.org.) If you need something searched on the internet, please call us, ask for Reference, and make an appointment.
