Gerrymandering and Redistricting in NJ: Draw Your Own Congressional Map 
Tuesday, September 3, 7:00 - 8:00 pm
In this interactive class, we will discuss the basics of redistricting and will draw our own congressional maps for New Jersey using a free online program. Learn the criteria for producing fair districts, and receive feedback on your map. All adults are welcome; no prior knowledge of redistricting or politics is necessary. Please bring a laptop if you have one; the redistricting program does not work on mobile devices.

Preventing Falls

The very young and very old are more vulnerable to falls more than people of any other age group. People ages 85 and older are 10–15 times more likely to sustain hip fractures from falls than people ages 60-65. Learn practical measures you can take to prevent falls. Presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
Declutter Your Home

One of the biggest challenges for many homeowners is going through their “stuff,” deciding what to do with everything, and getting motivated to complete the process. We will discuss common clutter misconceptions, investing time in the process, and getting family and kids involved. Finally, we will create a plan so that you can get to the finish line a winner!

Stitchathon: Extra Help

Designed for those who are participating in Embroidery Circle: Stitchathon, and anyone who’s interested in learning more about this ongoing project. We will be reviewing and practicing the following hand embroidery stitches: straight, back, split, stem, and chain stitches. 
Toastmasters Club

Toastmasters Club provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Members meet to deliver and evaluate prepared and impromptu speeches in an effort to improve as speakers and as leaders. In its 94-year history, Toastmasters has had 4 million members. Some speeches will be delivered in English, some in Tamil. All are welcome.
