The Mercer & Somerset Railroad Story Monday, January 7, 7 p.m. Join us for a presentation on the history and legacy of the Mercer & Somerset Railroad, an obscure, rural, central New Jersey line that became famous not for the trains it ran, but for its fate as a proxy in the 1876 “frog war”. Now retired from a 34-year (Amtrak) railroad career, Mr. Kilbride is a frequent speaker in the Tri-State area. He provides programs on a variety of railroad topics. Registration required.
