The Circulation Department workroom moved into the Meeting Room. It will remain here through April.
Video games and teen books were moved to other areas on the second floor. Magazines are now stored in clear boxes that make browsing current and past issues easier.
The permanent art collection has been removed from the walls. All movable items are safely stored.
What We're Doing Now
The parenting collection, children's biographies, and end of the children's nonfiction books (Call numbers J/796.357 – J/999) are now being moved into the lobby.
We cleaned out several file boxes that are now free to a good home. If you're interested, you can find them in the first-floor lobby. First-come, first-served.
Self- and staff-checkout stations remain in the lobby.
What's Coming Up
The second floor Quiet Study Room will be unavailable beginning Monday, March 17.
We received a $200,000 donation from the DGPL Foundation! This money will be used for enhancements including Miss Mouse's House, an expanded teen area, a technology-based digital media lab, and new, inviting features to the north and south entrances of the building.
