Gerda lived in Prussia as a child and experienced firsthand the horrors and trials of World War II. Listen as she shares her powerful memories of Hitler invading Europe and how she was forced to flee her home with her family. Learn about the highlights of the history of Cincinnati professional baseball, from the early days as the first professional franchise, through the Big Red Machine Era of the 70’s, to now with many highlights in between. Also see vintage books and other publications, postcards, autographs, and other collectibles of the local team. Presented by Gary Crouch from the Cincinnati Museum Center and Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum.

Appalachian Festival Come to the Felicity Branch Library for their Appalachian Festival from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, September 19. Enjoy music by the Lawson Family, storytelling by the Dreamweavers, crafts and a quilting demonstration with the Cardinal Quilters. JT on Queen City Notorious: Cincinnati's Most Infamous Murder Mysteries: "Unlike my first book Queen City Gothic, these crimes are solved and justice is rendered. This program concentrates on the motivations for seemingly ordinary people to kill. I also delve into the investigators' processes...even has some CSI type stuff."
