Sixth Grade Library Card Drive at MTMS
Your library card is The Smartest Card! September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. To celebrate, the Young Adult Services Department, in cooperation with the Monroe Township Middle School, will register all 6th grade students for new or updated library cards. Packets containing card applications and valuable information about our resources will be sent home from MTMS during this special month!

Starting Thursday, September 14 from 2:30 p.m. Craft kits are available to students entering Grades 6-12. Students may select a kit at the Reference Desk while supplies last.
M.I.T. Service Meeting, Monday, September 18, 7-8 p.m.
MIT – Monroe’s Innovative Teens – is a service group for middle and high school students run by the Library’s Young Adult Services Department. Students meet periodically during the year to plan upcoming Library activities and make suggestions regarding the Library. At the same time, they work on needed service projects, for which they receive a one-hour volunteer certificate. Snacks are served and all students in Grades 6-12 are welcome. Registration is not required.
Free College Practice Tests, SAT or ACT
Saturday, September 30, 10:00 a.m.
Students in Grades 9-12 may sign up to take a practice version of EITHER the SAT OR the ACT test, presented by C2 Education of South Edison with no obligation. Desired test must be specified on registration. Be aware that the SAT will be the same test given here in June and at all C2 locations this year; students who have already taken it should opt for the ACT. Registration is required. Bring a calculator and #2 pencils!
