A FREE practice SAT test will be offered for high school students in the Library Meeting Room on Saturday, May 20, at 10:00 a.m. It will be administered without obligation by C2 Education of South Edison and results will be emailed directly to participating students. May’s take out craft for Grades 6-12 is a Mother’s Day Butterfly. Pick up a little winged wonder at the Reference Desk to take home and decorate with markers or watercolors!

MIT Meeting, Monday, May 8, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
MIT – Monroe’s Innovative Teens – is a service group for grades 6-12 run by the Young Adult Services Department. Students meet periodically during the year to plan upcoming Library activities and make suggestions regarding the Library. At the same time, they work on needed service projects, for which they receive a one-hour volunteer certificate. Snacks are served and all students in grades 6-12 are welcome. Registration is not required.
Book Buzz, Tuesday, May 9, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to chat about favorite books, comics & movies in a relaxed environment, complete with snacks - and a free book! Registration is not required.
Game On! Hearthstone Fireside Gathering, May 13, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join a standard Hearthstone tournament, which will be selected based on attendance. Enjoy a fun-filled event with snacks, door prizes, and an awesome grand prize! PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN DEVICE WITH GAME INSTALLED.

Volunteer Service Sessions for Grades 6-12
YA Service Session #1, Monday, May 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
YA Service Session #2, Friday, May 26, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Need Volunteer Hours? Come to one of these special work sessions at the Library! Students in grades 6-12 will be asked to complete various tasks and will receive a certificate of service at the end.
Registration is not required. Students may come for half a session (1 hour) if that is more convenient. Held in the Library Meeting Room.
Please retain your certificate; it is your only proof of attendance.
