2017 Summer Reading Club, Build a Better World - READ! Children, birth to grade 6, are invited to participate in our Summer Reading Club. Cool prizes such as coupons for a free donut, a coupon for a free kids' meal at Chipotle and books will be awarded to all children who reach certain reading milestones. Register and log your reading hours here. After registering for the Club, visit the Library to pick up your free registration prize -- a fun tape measure!

OneClickdigital is now RBdigital. You will be able to access your ebooks, eaudiobooks and Zinio magazines all within one revised and updated app (available beginning June 27, 2017). The unified RBdigital app offers: - Audiobooks, magazines and eBooks in a single mobile app
- In-app preview, checkout, renewal and title overview for finding sought-after content
- Simple menu structure and expanded help pages for all user levels

Teen-Tween Reading Rewards Continues throughout the Summer! Registration is ongoing for Teen-Tween Reading Rewards! Students entering grade 6 - 12 may register online anytime through the Library’s website, www.monroetwplibrary.org. Record all the hours spent reading over the summer from the date of registration. Prizes are available at five-hour increments, and special prize winners are drawn from everyone who completes more than 20 hours. Also, 20+ hours earns an invitation to the Annual Sundae Party in August! Teen-Tween Take-Out Crafts – Celebrate Summer with Two Crafts this Month Think about this summer’s theme, Build a Better World, and how we can protect our oceans while you enjoy our beach-themed Take-Out Crafts! Craft kits are available to students entering Grades 6-12. Students may select a kit at the Reference Desk while supplies last. Sea Life Magic Scratch, starting Thursday, July 6 at 10:30 am Message in a Bottle, starting Wednesday, July 19 at 10:30 am MIT Service Meeting, Monday, July 17, 7:00-8:00 p.m. MIT – Monroe’s Innovative Teens – is a service group for middle and high school students run by the library’s Young Adult Department. Students meet periodically during the year to plan upcoming Library activities and make suggestions regarding the Library. At the same time, they work on needed service projects, for which they receive a one-hour volunteer certificate. Snacks are served and all students entering grades 6-12 are welcome. Registration is not required. Free Practice PSAT Exam Saturday, July 22, 10 a.m. The PSAT is key to financial aid opportunities – be prepared! YA Book Tasting! Wednesday, July 26, 3-4 p.m. Teens& tweens! Drop into the new YA Sunroom between 3-4 p.m. to enjoy a great sampling of YA titles and some snacks! No registration required, just stop by for a few minutes and say hi. We may have a surprise for you, too!
