Is your family planning to participate in the youth or adult summer reading? Did you know the Friends of the Library provide 100% of the funding for summer reading programs? Teen Kick-Off at the YMCA Friday, June 22nd, 6:30-8:30 pm Join us at the Statesville YMCA for a splashing good time. There will be fun games, tasty snacks and a free swim. Don't forget your swim suit! All attendees must have a signed permission slip and must complete a swim test on site.

Rock Climbing Tuesday, July 17th 6:00-8:00 pm Join us at the Fitness & Activity Center in Statesville and try your luck at rock climbing. Registration is required along with a permission slip and a waiver. For additional information contact the Youth Services Department at 704-878-3097.

Lunch & Learn Kick-Off Wednesday, June 6th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Join us for a fun filled drop in party to kick-off our Adult Summer Reading Program - ->10:00 am: Information, Adult Coloring and more fun! -> 11:00 am: Viewing of Our Vanishing Americana: A North Carolina Portrait (as seen on PBS) -> 12:00 pm: What Are You Reading Book Club - Find out all the latest books coming out this summer! There will be plenty of refreshments and a door prize drawn every hour.

Couponing 101 Thursday, June 28th, 6:00-8:00 pm Join us for Couponing 101, an in depth look at everything you can do to save money! This class will be led by Jenny Martin author of SouthernSavers.com. Attendees will learn how to cut their grocery and household purchases by at least 50% (if not more!).
