What it's about: Recently brought back to life and returned to her grieving family by a government project, Lou, the victim of a serial killer, readapts to being a mother and wife but wonders how much she can really trust those around her as she sets out to figure out the circumstances of her death.

Narration: Lowman does a great job of imbuing tension into this unusual mystery.

What it's about: A woman discovers her apartment broken into and her roommate dead after meeting a cold-hearted con artist at the bar where she works in.

Narration: LaVoy is an award winning narrator for a reason! 
The Covenant of Water 
by Abraham Verghese; narrated by Abraham Verghese

What it is: Spanning the years 1900 to 1977, and set in Kerala, on South India's Malabar Coast, an epic of love, faith and medicine follows three generations of a family that suffers a peculiar affliction: in every generation, at least one person dies by drowning.

Narration: the author is able to bring life to his own story. 
Happy Place
by Emily Henry; narrated by Julia Whelan

What it's about: Despite breaking up months earlier, a picture-perfect couple still haven't told their friends about the split and attempt to pretend they are still together at an annual Maine getaway.

Narration: Julie Whelan is another award winner in the audiobook world and for a good reason.
