We're Hiring! If you have ever said, "I have always wanted to work at a library" now is the time to make that dream a reality. We currently have 3 positions open: one full-time (37.5 hours) and two part-time (15 hours each). We are looking for a Public Services Librarian for our Clarksville Branch (full-time position), and a Page and a Clerical Assistant for Jeffersonville (both part-time). If you are interested, apply in person or online here. We love working here and we think you would too! Kids Can Vote Too! The library is hosting a kids vote from November 2 - November 14. Anyone under 18 is encouraged to vote for their favorite Doreen Cronin character. Research the characters and then cast your ballot for either Duck, Farmer Brown, Pig, Cow, or Sheep. Youth can vote either in-person or online. In-person voting will be at the Main location in the YS department. Online voting can take place on our website starting Monday, November 2. After the votes are counted, the winner will be posted on social media and our website. Save Time, Apply Online! Patrons are now encouraged to apply for library cards using our online portal here. 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Grades 6 - 12 Regardless of who is DMing this go around, we are going to have a fun game and roll some dice (and maybe heads?). REGISTER for this event with a valid email address in this event calendar (or call the library). If you participated in a previous virtual D&D game, you still have to register for this event. FIND some sort of mic. It works with gamer headsets, blue tooth headphones, laptops. We don't necessarily need to see one another but we do need to hear one another. Character Requirements: create a character in DND beyond, and send the link to ezelivetz@jefflibrary.org. The character must be a level 5 and the only "Elf" races available are Half-Elf and Drow. To begin your character has 500 gold and 1 uncommon magic item. Remember this format is new to us so the game play may be glitchy. Just be patient and remember we are here to play some D&D.
