I hope this message finds you all well and safe as we head into the cooler months.
As the new genealogy and history librarian, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. Librarianship is my second career; I taught college English for over 20 years prior to accepting this position. I hold an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and an M.L.S. in Library Science, both from Indiana University, and an undergraduate degree in English literature with a minor in history. I enjoy exploring history, particularly the often-hidden history of ordinary lives.
I also enjoy genealogy because of its power to connect people with the distant family members and make this big world a little smaller and more personal.
