Family Storytime with EarlyON Mondays, April 8 to June 24 10:30am-11:30am Join us for stories, art, activities and more! Interact with your little ones as they learn through play, literacy and exploration. Ages 0-6 together with their caregiver. This is a joint program presented by both Elgin County Library and EarlyON staff. No registration required. No program on Monday, April 1 and Monday, May 20.

Peter Jedicke, an experienced amateur astronomer with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, will explain everything you need to know about this unique opportunity for Elgin County residents to enjoy an amazing spectacle of nature - the 2024 total solar eclipse! “Heads Up for Healthier Brains” illustrates how certain lifestyle choices can help to reduce modifiable risk factors for dementia. Adopting healthy behaviours, staying socially active, avoiding head injury, and challenging our thinking are some of the ways we can keep our brain healthy as we age. Additionally, the presentation provides an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, their impact on the brain and on a person’s behaviour. A Q&A time follows the presentation and participants will have the opportunity to learn about programs and services offered by the Alzheimer Society.
