It is an exciting time of change and growth at the Everett Public Library and it is with great honor and pride that I join the Everett Public Library as Director. Public libraries are critical community resources that are increasingly important in peoples’ lives. They are a place that anyone can come and connect with other people, with information, and with entertainment. The library today is not the library in ten years, or even five, and that’s exciting because it gives us a great opportunity to reach more people in more meaningful ways. One of my top priorities is learning about Everett from the people who live and work here, discovering the community we serve, and getting to know the wonderful staff that makes it all possible. I look forward to continuing the tradition of providing meaningful services while exploring new and emerging library needs and finding innovative solutions that deepen our impact and build partnerships that benefit the entire city. It’s an amazing time to be leading the Everett Public Library, and I hope you’ll join me in the excitement! Abigail W. Cooley
