Director's Message - Rachel Dick Hughes I hope this finds you well, enjoying the summer weather and a few good books. This is a summer to celebrate simple pleasures. Whether your plans involve road trips to visit family, camping adventures, or just some downtime in your backyard, I hope it is restful and refreshing.

Did you know? Did you know that the library website has an online calendar? Right now our calendar may not be filled with many of our events, but we are sharing events from a few of our community partners. Pop on over and check out what other community groups are doing around town!

Mother Goose in the Park The Strathmore Municipal Library, 5 for Life Coalition, and Aspen Commons Family Resource Network are excited to bring back Mother Goose in the Park. This year's program will be held in the green space next to the library and will be limited to 25 families per session. The program will run on Thursdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and registration will be required for this program.

Summer Reading Program Looking for some fun activities for your kids this summer? Our coordinators have not only been creating great activities for registered Summer Reading Program participants, but have also hosted some free fun Friday activities. These activities go live on our Facebook page on Fridays at 1 pm. After, we upload them to our YouTube channel. Learn how to rock paint, bake, much more!

Elaine Wheeler The library welcomes Elaine Wheeler for her debut art exhibition and sale. Elaine's exhibit, "In pursuit of beauty", will be on display from August 4 to August 31. About the Artist Elaine Wheeler– born and raised in South Africa– acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and English Education at the University of the Orange Free State in 1992. Soon following she moved to the Calgary area, more specifically, Wheatland County, where she has resided with her husband Scott ever since. They have two grown daughters - their pride and joy.
