Story Worlds : Nature (2016)by Thomas HegbrookA wordless picture book invites young readers to use their imaginations to explore the beauty and wonder of nature, in a volume that uses striking artwork to convey how animals and insects in their natural surroundings change as they pass through the seasons and their own life cycles. - Publisher I can easily think of several ways this striking book could be used in a homeschool setting. Some kids will go off in a corner and spend a lot of time looking, and thinking about what they see. Others will want to TALK about it: What is happening? What do you see? Can you tell a story about the picture? This ends up being science, storytelling, verbal skills and more. The back of the book has a thumbnail of the pictures, and brief information about what is happening in the picture, which is helpful for adults. - Melody
