Cardboard Loom June 3, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Learn how to make a small loom from things you have lying around the house, then create your own decorative weaving.
If you have a fun yarn or specific color yarn you would like to use, feel free to bring it for your project! Otherwise, supplies will be provided. Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

Maker in Residence: Fiber Fusion Collage June 11, 2-4 p.m. In this out of the box workshop, we will create heat fused fibrous collages from likely and unlikely materials. Collages can be attached to each other to make bigger pieces, as well. Learn what the secret adherent is. Colorants such a chalk and spray mists are also applied to finished pieces. All materials are supplied.Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

June 17, 2:30-5:30 p.m. We’ll be making adorable decorative pillows in the shape of a hedgehog or a sleeping fox. Experienced and novice sewers alike are welcome!

Oil-based Sharpie Mugs June 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring in a blank mug or use one of our own to decorate with your one-of-a-kind style. Then take it home and bake it to set the design! Ages 16 and up. No registration is required.

Maker in Residence: Introduction to Zentangle® June 25, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Join our Maker in Residence, Deb Prewitt, and learn the basics of the Zentangle® methodology. The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle Method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages. Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

Teen and Tweens MAKEer Thursdays: Learn to Sew: Stuffed Woodland Creatures Every second and fourth Thursday of each month, we will MAKE something in the East Makerspace. In this learn to sew event, we'll make stuffed raccoons or foxes out of felt. Registration is required. Ages 9-18. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult; both parties must register. Wired Wednesdays: Lego Mindstorms June 14, 1-4 p.m. Every second Wednesday of the month, we will host a circuitry or robotics workshop. This Wednesday, we're playing with Lego Mindstorms! Build a cool lego robot and watch it do robotic things! Registration is required. Ages 9-18. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult; both parties must register. Amateur Hour Painting Party June 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. It’s time for a painting party! Amateur artists are invited to experiment with watercolors and acrylics at this fun and informal program. We’ll supply the brushes, paint, and paper; just bring yourself and a friend! Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

MAKE @ East Open Hours Mondays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays 1-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursdays 6-9 p.m. Fridays 12-5 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. During Open Hours, MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis. Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult.
