Watercolor Resist Art March 4, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Experiment with a variety of resist techniques to create unique works of art! Canvas sheets, watercolors, hot glue, wax resist sticks, and masking fluid will be provided. Bring in your own designs, or use some of our templates. Supervision for minors over age 12 is welcome, but not required, when using hot glue guns. Ages 12 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

MAKE a Scene March 11, 2-3:30 p.m. March 11, 4-5:30 p.m. Join us in MAKE @ East as we get creative in front of the green screen! Make a prop (or two), then we’ll use the green screen to take pictures in exotic and fantastic locations! Ages 12 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org for either 2-3:30 p.m. or 4-5:30 p.m.

Beading 101: Netted Bezel
March 12, 2-4 p.m. Join us this Sunday to learn a new beading technique: the netted bezel. We’ll supply the beads and other materials to teach you how to create a one-of-a-kind pendant, made by YOU!

Sherlock-ed: Celebrate Sherlock Holmes! March 18, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Did you know March 17-19 is Sherlock Holmes Weekend? Come celebrate the great detective at MAKE @ East as we make Holmes-inspired bookmarks, jewelry, and more! This is a drop-in program, no registration is required. Crafts are available while supplies last.
Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. Parent/guardian supervision is welcome for all minors over age 12. No registration is required.

Maker in Residence: Image Transfer: Making Art out of Photographs March 19, 2-4 p.m. In the class Image Transfer: Making Art out of Photographs participants will learn how to create photo transfers using simple techniques such as hand sanitizer and gel medium. Each participant is encouraged to bring personal photographs to work with during the class.
All supplies will be provided for the class.
Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

Sewing Zoo March 25, 2-5:30 p.m. Sew your own zoo at this fun and interactive program. We’ll supply fabric, a few basic animal patterns, and instructions to create your very own fuzzy friend.Hand and/or machine sewing skills are required to participate. Ages 12 and up. Repurposed Jewelry March 29, 6-9 p.m. During this drop-in program, bring in your old or broken jewelry to revamp it into something new!

Wired Wednesdays and Teen and Tweens MAKEer Wednesday: 3D Printing Sessions March 8, 4-9 p.m. This Wednesday, we'll be 3D printing, which will require special sign-up. Slots will run in 1 hour increments from 4-8 p.m. Registration is required. Ages 9-18. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult; both parties must register. Teen and Tweens MAKEer Thursdays: Learn to Sew- Fleece Scarves Every second and fourth Thursday of each month, we will MAKE something in the East Makerspace. This month, we'll work on our sewing skills (or learn to sew) by making fleece scarfs! Get ready for the snowiest months in CO and work on your finishing skills! Registration is required. Ages 9-18. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult; both parties must register. Registration can be done at www.ppld.org.

Upcycling: Coffee Mug Candles March 22, 6-9 p.m. Join us each month at MAKE @ East to transform your worn out belongings into something new and improved. This month we’ll reuse coffee mugs to make a candle! Feel free to bring your own mug or use one of ours. Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. Parent/guardian supervision is welcome for all minors over age 12. No registration is required.

Amateur Hour Painting Party March 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. It’s time for a painting party! Amateur artists are invited to experiment with watercolors and acrylics at this fun and informal program. We’ll supply the brushes, paint, and paper; just bring yourself and a friend! Ages 16 and up. Registration is required and can be done at www.ppld.org.

Sewing Social March 15, 6-8:30 p.m. Bring in your current work-in-progress machine or hand sewing project and socialize with other crafters while you work! Indulge in hot beverages while you share tips and techniques and get inspired by fellow creators’ styles and designs. Ages 16 and up. No registration is required.

MAKE @ East Open Hours Mondays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays 1-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursdays 6-9 p.m. Fridays 12-5 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. During Open Hours, MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis. Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult.
