Homeschool @ Monument: Madi Ort's Unique Pets Mon., Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. Madi Ort will introduce you to her pet rats, lizards, snake, frog, tarantula, and insects. She will talk about the unique characteristics of each animal, where they live in the wild, what they eat, and their conservation. She'll tell some funny stories about their lives, show you what she has trained several of the animals to do, and give children an opportunity to touch the lizards, rats, and bugs.

Homeschool @ High Prairie: President's Day Book Blast Thu., Feb. 14 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Please register here! Students are invited to prepare a report on a president to share with other families during our Homeschool program. Create a unique display to tell the world about a president of your choosing. You could make a diorama, design a game based on his life, compose a travel brochure, create a biography in a (cereal or pizza!) box, make a clothes hanger mobile, or draw a comic book biography. The possibilities are endless! Projects will be set up in our Community Room display-style at 1:30 p.m. so that families can circulate and learn during the 90 minute program.

Homeschool @ Rockrimmon: Share the Love Thu., Feb., 14 from 1:30 - 3 p.m. Please register here! Make this Valentine's Day special for our neighbors residing at Viewpointe Retirement Community! Bring some valentines to share, listen to a valentine story, then have an activity and treats with residents. All ages are welcome with a parent or caregiver. Families are encouraged to participate together. Meet at the Viewpointe lobby, 555 S. Rockrimmon Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80919, at 1:30 p.m.

Homeschool Science Fair 2019 Fri., Feb. 15, 10 - 11:30 a.m. Homeschool students are invited to create and demonstrate a science project for other homeschool families. This is a noncompetitive event. There are no strict rules or guidelines regarding the science projects and we will leave planning up to the individual family. The Science Fair is open to grades K-12, and takes place in the Venue at Library 21c. Please register each child who will be presenting a project. Or drop by the science fair during open hours (10 – 11:30 a.m.) to chat with the participants and check out some cool science.
