Deconstructing The Beatles "Rubber Soul" & "Revolver" Join us for a 90-minute, recorded presentation about the making of The Beatles' timeless albums,"Rubber Soul" on January 9 and "Revolver " on January 16. Audio Engineer Bob Lord with The Black Rose Acoustic Society will present a series of four videos - two in January and two in February - each focusing on a specific Beatles album. Afterwards, Bob will discuss production techniques taken from these videos that can be easily replicated within Studio 21c. In this engaging multimedia presentation, music scholar, composer, producer, and ”Beatle-ologist” Scott Freiman will lead us through the writing and recording sessions of these timeless albums. We'll explore the music itself and how it was tracked using the studio equipment of the time. No matter how much you know about The Beatles, there's something new here for you.
After the presentation, Bob Lord will open the floor for questions and discussion about the Beatles documentary. Additionally, Bob will be relating production techniques in the DVDs with what can be accomplished in Studio 21c. Watch our event schedule for similar sessions for the albums "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "The White Album" coming in February. These are all destined to be popular classes, so sign up soon.
Classes will be in Studio 21c. Tue., Jan. 9 and 16 w 6 - 8 p.m. To register for this course please click on the link below:
