Homeschool @ High Prairie Chico Basin Ranch Thursday, October 12, 1:30 - 3 p.m. High Prairie Library 7035 Meridian Rd Peyton, CO 80831 Get together with other homeschool families to participate in science, history and art related activities. This month, we'll have a visit from Chico Basin Ranch. Learn about prairie ecology while you look a nature table full of skulls, pelts and other recovered animal items.

Homeschool @ Rockrimmon Native American Indian Exploration Thursday, October 12, 1:30 - 3 p.m. Rockrimmon Library 832 Village Center Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80919 Expanding Minds Unlimited will return to teach us about Native American history through stories, artifacts, traditional dress, native foods, and other exciting activities. Homeschool Science @ East Locomotion: The Science & Circus Arts Show Friday, October 20, 1 - 3 p.m. East Library 5550 N Union Colorado Springs, CO 80918 National Juggling Champion and movement artist Peter Davison presents juggling, unicycling, balancing, acrobatics, and more, while teaching the science behind the artistry. Peter mixes awesome circus skills with dance and physical theater in a unique presentation that addresses human and machine locomotion, Newton's Laws of Motion, center of gravity, gyroscopic action, centrifugal and centripetal forces, friction, and other physical phenomena. Presented on the third Friday of every month, our Homeschool Science @ East program offers an engaging variety of learning experiences for homeschooled students of all ages. This is a family program so parents are expected to accompany their students and participate. No registration is required.

Mini Maker Faire Saturday, October 21, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Library 21c 1175 Chapel Hills Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80920 The Colorado Springs Mini Maker Faire will feature about 50 hands-on experiences for all ages. It is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and love sharing what they do.
