Annual Basic Beer Brewing and Tasting II Saturday, Oct. 1st, 3-5pm Sand Creek Library - 1821 South Academy Blvd. Let a professional home brewing teacher introduce you to the basic steps of beer brewing. Taste all the components of beer in hops, grains, yeasts, etc. Afterwards, enjoy a sample of beer brewed using the same procedures just two months earlier. A fun Oktoberfest atmosphere for those 21 years of age and older. Please check id's during registration. Patron birthday must be Oct.1 1995 or earlier.

The History of the Sandwich Saturday, Oct. 29th, 2-4pm Cheyenne Mountain Library - 1785 S. 8th Street Suite 100The story of the sandwich is a fun and interactive presentation for the whole family. We will explore the history and science behind the ingredients used to make sandwiches (making bread, curing meats and even making mayonnaise and mustard). At the end of the presentation, everyone will be able to enjoy a sandwich, prepared during the presentation. Food and drink included in presentation. Registration required.
