Homeschool Library Quest Friday, September 7, 1 p.m. Join us for a tour of East Library and explore our resources through engaging activities and interactive challenges. Learn about the different types of materials offered by PPLD, participate in a cool scavenger hunt, and more as you discover the many amazing resources your library had to offer. This program is designed for family participation. This program is designed for 7 - 10 year olds, but siblings are welcome. Please register each child who will be attending. Meet in the East Community Room.

Homeschool @ Rockrimmon: Come to the Circus! Join Allison Flannery, author, and Lead Mentor from the Colorado Springs Conservatory, as she directs children in a theater/music performance. She will incorporate beginning theater skills, singing, costuming and more with a small performance to culminate the event. Families are encouraged to participate together creating a one-of-a-kind Circus! Please register.

Homeschool Science @ East: East Library and The Outdoors Friday, September 21, 1 p.m. East Library Come “check out” a few of the critters, plants, and spaces that make our Pikes Peak Region so special. Catamount Institute educators will guide you in hands-on, outdoor activities that never fall short of fun! Come prepared to play (and learn) outside! Please meet outside in the George Fellows Park (behind East Library). Homeschooled students and their parents are encouraged to participate. Homeschool @ High Prairie: Delicious Donuts with Wayne Thiebaud "Cook" up a tasty box of realistic looking donuts in the style of Wayne Thiebaud, a mid-20th century "pop" artist known for his iconic representations of beautiful bakery goods. Use a print process, then add irresistible details and texture using a variety of paints and tools. Get together with other homeschool families to participate in science, history and art related activities. Discover library resources to enrich self-directed learning for all ages.
