Join us to decorate a cookie tin and exchange all your favorite cookie recipes with your community. We will provide a few recipes to have on hand too. #makeitpersonal Holiday Shadow Box Magnets Create a memorable shadow box magnet for your fridge this holiday season. We encourage you to bring wallet-sized pictures to personalize your magnets. #makeitpersonal Travel-Sized Candle Use seasonal scents and soy wax to make a travel candle for a gift, or to keep for yourself. #makeitpersonal Ages 16 and up. Maker in Residence: Comics and Sequential Art This course is designed to provide a basic introduction to sequential art. Participants will learn how to create a comic page and will be able to tell a story through images. This course will cover critical lessons for comic creators, and is useful for all skill levels. Please help ensure that other patrons have the opportunity to participate in this program by only registering for one session. Please also visit with Tarikh and see him work on a digital comic project! Tarikh will be available at Library 21c for Meet the Maker in Residence Ages 16 and up. Registration is required.

Drop-in Watercolor Painting Amateur artists are invited to the East Makerspace to experiment with watercolors (watercolor paints, watercolor crayons, and watercolor pencils!) at this fun and informal drop-in program. We’ll supply the brushes, paint, and paper; just bring yourself and a friend! Local artist and instructor Jim Roth will be on hand to help and inspire. Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required.

Kumihimo Bracelets Learn the basic 8-strand Japanese braiding technique known as kumihimo at this jewelry workshop. We'll be using leather strands for the project to create a durable, wearable, stylish necklace or bracelet! Attendees will also have the option of adding beads to their projects to provide even more visual interest. Make a bracelet for yourself, or as a gift! Ages 13 and up. Registration is required.

3D Modeling with Fusion 360 Have you ever wanted to build a 3D model for printing or design a prototype for a business? Fusion 360 is a free 3D modeling software that can help bring your ideas to life. In this class, learn how to manipulate shapes and space to design your very own 3D models. Ages 12 and up. * Computer proficiency required - it would be helpful if you have worked with 3D models or 3D printing in some capacity before. Ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
