Adult Craft Night Craft and Connect! Creative programming designed for Adults. All materials provided. Equali-Tea Cup Candles 2020 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Women's Suffrage Movement. We will be celebrating by making candles in teacups! While you wait for your candle to finish, you can also enjoy the Women's Suffrage Brooch-Making craft! Shell Pendant and Lucky Shamrock Pin Join a pearl bead and shell and add some glitter to create a pendant with an under the sea vibe! Make your own luck with this four leaf clover felt pin! Under the Sea Lantern Make a magical gradient lantern, with an under the sea silhouette! Constellation Keychain Create a wooden keychain with your favorite constellation using piercing tools and jewelry pliers. Shine a flashlight through the keychain to project the constellation on the wall or ground! Travel-sized Fairy Gardens Create a tiny Fairy Garden in a tin, and take the magic with you anywhere! We will use metal tins, small pieces, tweezers if necessary, and glue to put together something magical. Ages 16 and up. Registration is required.

Maker in Residence: Textile Art When you think of your community, what comes to mind? Learn how to create a fabric collage that celebrates the beauty of our Pikes Peak region. Attendees will create two collages - one for the community art installation, and one to take home! Come learn some fun and simple embellishment techniques using fabric markers and hand embroidery stitches to add detail to your collage. Registration is required. Please help ensure that other patrons have the opportunity to participate in this program by only registering for one class session. Interested in helping Liz and Ruth assemble the community art installation? Head to Monument Library and Create Together with Textiles West on select days and times from March 30 - May 17! Seed Beading: Peyote Stitch
Following the flat, even count peyote stitch, attendees will create a beaded ring using Delica seed beads, beading needles, and beading thread. All supplies provided. This activity involves close-up, detail work, requiring fine motor skills and clear vision. Please bring glasses or "readers" if needed. Ages 18 and up. Registration is required.

Glass Mug Etching with Vinyl Stencils Learn how etch glass using vinyl stencils made on a Silhouette Cameo die-cutter. IMPORTANT! For safety issues, all participants will be required to have long-sleeved clothing and closed-toe shoes. Additionally, masks and safety gloves will be required for part of the program - latex-free nitrile gloves will be provided. The engraving process will produce odors. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us as soon as possible. Ages 16 and up. Registration is required.

Create Together: Spring Maker in Residence Interested in helping assemble a community art installation? Join Liz Kettle and Ruth Chandler from Textiles West as they piece together textile illustrations of the Pikes Peak region, made by community members from all across El Paso County. These fabric collages will be assembled into an art installation piece that will be displayed at Monument Library in June 2020 for everyone to enjoy. Ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
