Welcome to Library Kids! There are so many resources for kids and families at Pikes Peak Library District, and that includes some amazing programs. This monthly email is exclusively dedicated to children's programs and we hope to see you and your littles at the library this month!

Family Fort Night Thu., 8/1 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Enjoy snacks, family time, and fun during our Family Fort Night. Watch astronauts read books in space from the comfort of your own blanket fort, share a story together, and play some epic games of hide and seek! Some sheets will be available first come, first served. Please feel free to bring some from home, as well.

Baby and Me Yoga Sat., 8/10 at 10:30 a.m. A gentle class taught by a licensed yoga instructor for caregivers and the infants they love (4 weeks to crawling). Special attention focused on baby bonding and postpartum mums. Please be sure to check with your healthcare provider to be sure you and baby are ready for a program. Bring a mat/beach towel and a baby blanket.

Minecraft Club Mon., 8/12 at 4 p.m. Show off your building skills, work on awesome in-game challenges with friends, and join forces against the zombie horde!

Tween Twist: Party Games Thu., 8/15 at 6:30 p.m. Tweens ages 9 - 12 run through a variety of challenges and race against the clock with Minute to Win It, cup stacking, and even a minesweeper maze that you navigate with a friend. Registration is required.

Springs French Music Lingua Fridays, 8/23 and 8/30 at 10 a.m. Join Barbara Mills from Springs French Music Lingua for a unique program that teaches French to children, ages 8 and under, using a fun mix of music, movement, art, drama, and storytelling. Registration is required. Please only register for one program at a time.

The Kusogea Nobi Drum Ensemble Sat., 8/24 at 3 p.m. The Kusogea Nobi Drum Ensemble is in their 26th year of presenting their journey of drums, song, and movement from Africa to the Americas and back to Africa! Bob Hall and Chelle Gifford provide an exciting, interactive experience for all ages.

Music and Movement Tue., 8/27 at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story. For ages 2- 3 accompanied by a favorite adult.

Family Storytimes Sat., 8/31: Young children, with a favorite adult, experience new stories through books, flannelboards, puppets, songs, activities, and crafts.
