Libraries Face Changes in Ebook Landscape

Part 2:

Last month, we discussed how many of large publishers are changing how library users can access ebooks. It is impacting the way libraries can provide e-resources.

The American Library Association created an online petition at eBooksForAll.org for members of the public to urge Macmillan Publishers CEO John Sargent to reverse the proposed embargo on e-books sold to libraries. Please feel to let the publishers know that you want #eBooksForAll.

A second way that libraries are being impacted is by the pricing policies. Please read about how the library needs to switch services.
