Where in the World is the Adult Programming Brochure?
Some of you may have noticed that you have not received your April - June Adult Programming brochure in the mail. You may be wondering where it is. The short answer: We have no idea. They were mailed on March 20, but they must have been intercepted by the mail elves. As of now, the post office doesn't know if the brochures are in North Carolina, North Dakota or the North Pole. So that you don't miss any of our wonderful adult programming, we have posted the brochure online. Just click the brochure's cover below, and you will be able flip through the brochure online just like the print version. You can also always find the program listing online by visiting the Durham County Library website and clicking Events. You'll see links for the upcoming Humanities Programs and Featured Adult Programs. These are the same events that appear in the brochure. For your convenience, here are a few upcoming programs.

Meet the Author: Frances Mayes Monday, April 6, 7 p.m. Main Library Join Frances Mayes, New York Times bestseller author of Under the Tuscan Sun, for a reading from her book Under Magnolia: A Southern Memoir. The story begins and ends in the present, with the middle of the book devoted to life in a small town in Georgia. It’s an ode to the South as an intense and (then) isolated place and to the people who lived their passionate lives there. The book is populated with a cast of intrinsically southern characters – fatalistic, ribald, eccentric, and big-hearted.
