The response to our Simpson Signature Selections fundraising drive has been quite positive and very heartwarming to see so many people donating money to expand our collection. From books and movies, to music and large print books, to reference books and children's items, we've added many great titles to our collection. It's not too late to be a donor to Simpson Signature Selections and have a book plate placed in each item that you sponsor through your financial donation. If the title you select has already been sponsored, we will select another title for you. Thank you for your support! Sue Erdman, Library Director

This month we're reading The Martian by Andy Weir. Based on the very popular movie with the same name, we are going back to read the book that generated such high praise. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive—and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet. Drawing on his ingenuity, his engineering skills—and a relentless, dogged refusal to quit—he steadfastly confronts one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after the next. Will his resourcefulness be enough to overcome the impossible odds against him?
