Genealogy Are you ready to find out more about your ancestors? Maybe you tried one of the new DNA testing kits or are just ready to work on your family tree. Simpson Library and the Cumberland County Library System maintain a page of links and resources to help you in your search: www.cumberlandcountylibraries.org/Genealogy. In addition to the books and links to helpful websites listed there, we have a subscription to the MyHeritage database. MyHeritage contains billions of historical records including census, military, newspapers, vital records, directories, and more. It is also a fantastic source for European and Canadian genealogical records with census, church records, vital records, and family trees. Census records are easy to search in MyHeritage, and it’s a thrill to find an ancestor listed along with their family members, occupation, address, and other details! You’ll find MyHeritage in the list of databases on our website under the “Collections and Services” menu. Our reference librarians are always happy to help as well!
