A new year is upon us and for many people it is a time for New Year’s resolutions. What are your resolutions for this year? How can the library help you? Stop in for some books on common resolutions such as losing weight, quitting smoking, eating healthier, exercising more, and getting more organized. Consider pursuing a new hobby in 2014 and check out some books on knitting, crocheting, quilting, running, weight training, cake decorating, gardening, and more. And if your resolution is to read more, or relax more, stop in for a wide variety of reading materials and movies and TV shows for all ages.
Did you get a tablet or e-reader as a holiday gift? Stop in and find out how you can get free eBooks through the Cumberland County Library System and download them to your device.
Wishing you a healthy and prosperous 2014 filled with many trips to the Simpson Library.

Storytimes at Simpson Library
Library storytime programs encourage children to develop a love of reading by presenting them with stories and activities in a fun, energetic environment. When kids see others excited about reading, it sets a positive example and encourages them to pick up books on their own.
Rhymetime, Toddlertime, and Storytime are presented several times a week throughout the year. Family Storytime is presented once a week on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Visit our Storytime Events Calendar to view the current schedule.
If you value the importance of early literacy, we hope you will consider sponsoring a Storytime. You can sponsor for a week, a month, or even a year! For more information, and to get pricing information for each sponsorship level, download our Storytime Sponsor Brochure.
