A Taste of Mechanicsburg

Simpson Library is honored to host A Taste of Mechanicsburg again this year. Sponsored by the Mechanicsburg Rotary Club and held at Simpson Library, this premiere event features the culinary talents of local food and beverage vendors. Tickets are $25 if purchased in advance. Simpson Library will be closed to the public on this day to prepare for and host the event. More.

Harrisburg-based advocacy group Reanimator Threadworks will teach us how to sew useful things out of found materials. Sewing machines and materials will be available, but you may bring your own machine. More. Register online.

BYOB Trivia After Hours: Disney

Think you know about all things Disney? Test your knowledge of Disney movies, characters, stories, theme parks, history, and more at After Hours Trivia in March. Come in costume and earn an extra point.

 
We supply cups, bottle openers, snacks, and prizes. You bring your beverage of choice and your knowledge. This program is for adults, ages 21 and older. Registration is required.

Story Times at Simpson
Rhyme Time, Toddler Time, and Story Time are presented several times a week throughout the year, and Family Story Time is presented every Monday at 6:30 pm. Registration is not required; join us when you can. Visit our Children's Services page to view the current schedule.

Tea and Stitches
 
Enjoy a nice cup of tea and work on your stitching project with other stitching enthusiasts every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm! On the fourth Tuesday of the month, our Extended Edition meets until 5:00 pm.
 


Display Case
 
Our display in the lobby this month is provided by the Mechanicsburg Lions Club, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary of service in the community. Currently, the Mechanicsburg Lions Club has membership of over 40 men and women and is part of the largest service organization in the world. The areas of charitable contributions and service to the community are: Vision, Juvenile Diabetes, Hunger, Environment, Pediatric Cancer, and Engaging Youth. The display features items from the past 70 years illustrating photos of the Lions in action and and recognition of the club efforts. Thank you for all you do for the community, Mechanicsburg Lions Club!
