Simpson Library's 4th Annual ComiCon is coming up. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 19. This event offers something for the entire family. There will be an all-day photo op with Star Wars 501st Storm Troopers (and other bad guys!), Jedi Knights, Mandalorian Mercs, including Boba Fett, Central Pennsylvania Avengers, and other cosplay characters attending the contest. Be sure to register for the cosplay contest and the Super Smash Bros. Tournament. New for this year: a real LARP (Live Action Role-Play) session and Ultimate Geek Trivia. Come out for an afternoon of great food, drinks, and lively entertainment at the Joseph T. Simpson Public Library on Saturday, April 21, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A Taste of Mechanicsburg is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg and is their premiere event, featuring the culinary talents of local food and beverage vendors. Tickets are $25. Purchase them at Simpson Public Library or online at EventBrite.com. Service fee applied to online ticket purchases. Must be at least 21 years old to attend. Proceeds benefit Mechanicsburg Rotary's Student Scholarship Program and the Simpson Public Library.

But the big news is that a Steampunk Festival is coming to Mechanicsburg this September! Yoga for Seniors & BeginnersWednesday, April 25, 7:00 pm This class meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday. It is open to all levels of practitioner and is offered in a relaxed and open atmosphere, without judgment. Yoga is a noncompetitive activity, accepting of all ages and skill levels. Contemporary Authors If you’re doing a school project or hosting a book discussion about a more recent author, check the Contemporary Authors database first! Each author profile has biographical information, a list of published works, and essays about the author’s works. An exhaustive list of sources for further reading is also included, making this a great place to start your research.
