Are there days when you feel that your smartphone, computer tablet, or laptop are smarter than you are? Bring your devices to the library on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to noon and members of our Teen Tech Crew, high school students who are sharing their technology expertise with our community, will be onsite to answer your questions. You don't need to make an appointment; just drop in and get the help you need! Are you a tech-savvy teen? To learn more about becoming a member of our Teen Tech Crew, contact Volunteer Coordinator Ilse Kryemadhi at ikryemadhi@ccpa.net or 717-766-0171, ext. 229. The Cumberland County Library System received a grant last year to purchase mobile Wi-Fi hot spots that people could borrow, and this has been an incredibly popular service. The grant funding ended on June 30 and we don't have the funds to keep all of them in service, but Simpson Library is going to purchase 15 of them at a cost of $360 per year per device. This covers the cost of the monthly data plan for each device. If you would be interested in sponsoring the cost of a hot spot for a year, or half of a year, you can make a tax-deductible contribution online or mail a check to the library at 16 N. Walnut St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. If donating online, select Wireless Hotspots in the drop down box labeled Fund Choice. Sue Erdman, Executive Director
