Do you or a senior you know need a little "brain workout?" Seniors are invited to gather round a table and play fun, slightly challenging word games on the first and third Mondays of the month. These games are meant to nudge that memory capacity to remember names, fill in blanks, complete word searches, and the like. Registration is not required. 10:00 am Mah Jongg is a fascinating rummy-like game you play with tiles rather than cards. All are welcome, whether you know how to play or not, and very little time is required to become familiar with the principles of the game. Come out for a fun and exciting evening of trivia to see which team is the smartest in the library! Each member of the winning team will be awarded a book and gift card. Bonus points will be awarded to teams that are decked out in ugly Christmas sweaters! This trivia session will be run by the talented people from Cheaters Never Prosper, who host many pub trivia games in the area. Once again, we are encouraging teams of three to four people. Word Craft is a new club for teen writers (grades 6 to 12). All teen writers, whether beginner or experienced, are encouraged to join! This is a great club for any teen looking to improve their writing and get feedback from their peers.
