From Hulk Hogan, to The Rock, to Becky Lynch, and to Sasha Banks we will relive some of the greatest moments of pro wrestling history. This year is the 40th Anniversary of WrestleMania! Bring some ringside experiences of your own to share. Our presenter librarian/WrestleMania enthusiast, Cindy S. has plenty of stories to keep you entertained, informed and on the edge of your seat!

Friday, April 5th, 2024 | 6:30 - 8:30 pm Romeoville Branch - Meeting Room A Dating, at any age, can be daunting. Maybe you'll meet your next date at our event! Enjoy a night of conversation and games. Have a glass of wine and appetizers while hearing about dating apps and safety tips. Need to be at least 50 years old to attend.

We are always looking for donations of high quality materials. If we can use them in the library’s collections we will, otherwise the Friends of the Library will use them in one of their book sales. In certain circumstances you may even gain a tax benefit from this type of donation (again check with your accountant or whoever prepares your tax return). If you have any materials to donate please drop them off at one of our 3 branches. Thank you!

Monday, April 1st, 2024 | ALL DAY Crest Hill Branch - Teen Room Celebrate National Poetry Month all month long in the teen room! Book pages and sharpies are available to create your own blackout poetry. Anyone that wishes to can turn in their finished poems to the teen librarian or the adult desk and their art will be added to the bulletin board next to the calendar to be on display all Poetry Month long. For teens in grades 7-12.

Don't know how to write poetry? Come on in anyway! Poetry is for everyone and all skill levels are welcome! You must be 21 or older to attend this program.

Thursday, April 4th, 2024 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm Romeoville Branch - Meeting Room A Library staff will demonstrate both Libby and Hoopla e-resources services to anyone interested in learning about these White Oak Library District resources, will discuss the benefits of each, and will help you become as familiar with your eLibrary and catalog as you are with your physical library. Libby, offers eBooks, eAudio Books, and eMagazines, that you can borrow as electronic copies. Hoopla offers eBooks and eAudio books, and also offers selections of movies, television shows, and music.

Friday, April 5th, 2024 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Crest Hill Branch - Meeting Room A/B Using embroidery thread and a metal ring, create a button straight out of 17th century sewing to use as a pendant or keychain. *Note: recommended for those comfortable with embroidering small, detailed projects.
