A Note from the Editor Join us for PowerPoint with Friends at Pine Valley Library on Thursday, April 25 at 6:00 PM. Presenters will give short,15-20 minute, presentations about anything from string theory to reality television. Presentations will be given from an informational point of view. Did you know that there are approximately 11,000 children in the foster care system today in North Carolina? In New Hanover County alone, there is over 300 children in the foster care system. Unfortunately, every night across the state, children in foster care are sleeping in emergency shelters, DSS offices, and hotels due to the foster home shortage statewide and nationally. We hear you! Here is a question that has been asked recently: How do I find titles that are available now in the Libby app? Seeing all available titles at your library: 1. Tap Library 2. Tap available now at the top of the screen. Browsing available titles in lists and search results: To filter lists or search results to only show titles that are available to borrow: 1. In a list or in search results, tap 2. Under "Availability," select available now, then tap Show Titles. 3. (Optional) Tap the applied available now filter, then tap Pin Filter to also apply this filter to future search results and lists. If a book or an audiobook is available to borrow, you'll see a Borrow button next to it in lists and search results. You can also tap a book cover to go to the title's details screen, then look for a Borrow button.

There's no required book to read or discussion questions to answer. Just a cozy space to read, chat, or quietly appreciate your book.
