Please join us for free poetry workshops with poet and author Karen Schoemer. The sessions, spread across two Saturdays in May and June, will combine in-class writing exercises, readings about poetry craft, and the sharing of work. Participants will be encouraged to develop poems from the exercises generated in class, and time will be devoted to the revision process. You are welcome to attend either or both of the sessions.
The workshops are suitable for writers at all levels, teens and up. Individual writing samples may be submitted in advance but are not necessary. Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil to all sessions.
