Want to get your library involved in the Pokémon Go craze?
We've put together a quick starter kit to get you going! Print these materials right from this email - or log into LibraryAware to customize them.
1. Put out a welcome sign
Put out a sign that welcomes players to your library.
Pro tip: all of the templates in this email are ready to open and print under Flyers-Books.
Encourage Pokémon Go players to come into the library by printing out the this sign and putting it on the library door. Is your library a Pokémon Gym? If so, consider encouraging some rivalry between teams and put up signage that reflects which team has currently claimed your Gym. Guess what? There are only 3 teams!
We've already made you an End Cap Flyer with three series recommendations for Pokémon fans. You can print it out - or go into LibraryAware to customize the titles.
Unsure of what books to include?
Start with manga and/or graphic novels.
Can't keep those books on the shelf? Try extending your display to include nonfiction drawing and animation books.
3. Get new card holders
Gotta catch 'em all! Capitalize on all of the Pokémon Go players coming into the library by encouraging them to sign up for a library card! You can entice them with your print Pokémon collection, read-alikes, DVD/CDs, video games and other resources. Entertain players with this fun coloring sheet.
4. We are considering creating...
We weren't sure whether you'd use bookmarks or shelf talkers in your library for Pokémon fans. We'd love to make them if enough users want them. Click below and let us know if you're interested!
