We know you are as anxious as we are to find out when the library will reopen. As we wait to find out what phase we will be included in when our region is permitted to open, we are actively planning for many possibilities. We are making arrangements for curbside pickup, possibly limiting the number of people accepted in the building at a time to allow for social distancing, and updating our cleaning procedures of materials and surfaces to coincide with new CDC regulations.
In the meantime, we hope you are continuing to use our online resources at www.saugertiespubliclibrary.org. You have free access to digital magazines, online courses, audio and ebooks, films, and more with your library card! If you need a library card, you can get a temporary online card by going to the library's website and clicking "Get a library card" or by clicking here. This allows you access to the library's online resources. If you wish to check out library material when the building reopens, you will need to bring in a photo ID with proof of address if your current address is not on your ID. If you already have a library card then you already have access to these resources.
While the building is closed, the library's WiFi is on and requires no password if you want to sit outside on the benches or in your vehicle to access it.
Due dates on any checked out materials have been extended, but if you would like to return items the book drop to the right of the library's front doors remains available.
When we have an open date, and know what that will include, we will send out another e-newsletter as well as post it to our website and social media. Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Saugerties Public Library Staff
