This week is E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
E3 happens every June and game companies use this expo to announce all their upcoming games and build excitement for the holiday season. Nintendo’s presentation was on June 12th and they announced some amazing games for the system. Their biggest announcement by far was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch, set to be released December 7th! For those of you who don’t know, Super Smash Bros. is a fighting game that is jam packed full of Nintendo’s legendary characters. They have also brought in some guest characters from time to time. This time they have every character that has ever been in any Super Smash Bros. game. That comes to a total of 67 or more characters for players to choose from. Everyone from Pikachu to Cloud Strife is included in this ridiculous romp through popular Nintendo franchises.

The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr. But what Starr does or does not say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.

Splash into summer with an Ocean in a Bottle activity!
Ocean in a bottle is a super easy and fun experiment to try this summer.
All you need is a plastic bottle, water, some blue or green food colouring, and oil (canola works best!)
1. First, fill your bottle about 1/3 of the way with water.
2. Add one to two drops (depending on the size of your bottle) of blue or green food colouring. Either colour works and looks amazing, it simply depends on if you want a true blue ocean or a shiny emerald lake.
3. Fill the rest of your bottle with oil. Any kind of cooking oil works, but canola adds a little bit of a yellow hue for contrast, and it looks super cool!
4. Fasten your lid on tightly and shake to disperse the waves.
5. Amaze all of your friends!
