Meet Lynne Lynne is the Director of Service Delivery for Marigold. Some of her main responsibilities are: - Providing leadership and direction for bibliographic services and shipping, receiving and delivery services
- Overseeing centralized collection management
- Resolving Polaris ILS issues and liasing with vendors
- Serving as Marigold's Project Manager for the building of the new headquarters facility in Strathmore
- Representing Marigold on board and provincial committees
Early Life: Lynne spent a lot of time up in trees reading books. The best tree was in her grandparent's backyard in Point Roberts (Point Bob) U.S.A., south of Vancouver. Favourite Things: Lynne likes ghost stories, Boston, Formula One and WEC auto racing, the Denver Broncos, Crescent Beach, reading, cooking and baking, Purdy's milk chocolate, forested walking trails and the fall season. Fun Fact: Once upon a time, Lynne was on a small island where she met a baby elephant that was pretty stoked about his ability to play the harmonica. What I Like About Marigold: "Marigold is a wealth of inspiration and collaboration that provides me with new insights and challenges every day. I feel fortunate to work in such a great environment with amazing colleagues (not just at headquarters, but with our libraries, with our TRAC friends, and beyond!). I love that we get things done and always seek to improve service while sharing lots of laughs and supporting each other." Book Recommendation: Grief Cottage by Gail Godwin. This is an atmospheric read with gothic overtones that is perfect for this transitional season into winter. I love landscape paintings, Carolina beaches, the Romantic era and learning about artists’ techniques, so it appealed to me even more! The characters are likeable and refreshing, and it is a pleasant surprise that this introspective story is told in a compelling and authentic way through the eyes of an 11-year old boy.
