Meet Misty! Misty Mlieczko is Marigold's Bibliographic Services Technician. Early Life: Being raised in North Central Saskatchewan gave me access to many beautiful lakes and forests, so I spent much of my childhood reading books on the beach or in my dinghy and hiking in the woods! Winter pastimes included cross country skiing and skating. My favourite things to read when I was a kid were mysteries, so I was a voracious Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys reader. Family: I share my house with my teenage son, my partner in crime, and our fluffy fur kid, Hazel. Favourite Things: British mysteries, de-cluttering, and trying to maintain a minimalist lifestyle while living with 2 packrat males! Fun Fact: I lived in Prince Albert National Park as a permanent resident when I was a kid. It was a unique experience to have the park to ourselves in the winter and to never have to leave in the summer! What I Like About Marigold: The people, the people, the people! What a bunch of dedicated, creative, forward-thinking library pals!! Recommendation: Too many books to mention but I highly recommend the animated film Loving Vincent. Over a hundred artists worked on this Academy Award nominated film. It's beautiful!

One morning in 2008, Davidson plucked a flyer out of his mailbox that read, "Bus Drivers Wanted." That was the first step towards an unlikely new career: driving a school bus full of special-needs kids for a year. Armed only with a sense of humour akin to that of his charges, Davidson shows us how his evolving relationship with the kids on that bus, each of them struggling physically as well as emotionally and socially, slowly but surely changed his life along with the lives of the "precious cargo" in his care.
